Guide to Becoming MOC Managing Representative
MOC Network International fostering the volunteer spirit among people everywhere to take responsibility to make a difference and bring positive change in their communities. MOC Network International needs volunteers who provide new perspectives, energy, and enthusiasm for the realization of its programs. Steps to becoming MOC Managing Representative - Become member of MOC Network International (please fill MOC Network Membership application form available at web site http://projects.takingitglobal.org/moc)
- Nominate yourself or someone for MOC Managing Representative (job description attached)
- Form a MOC Management Team consisting of following:
* MOC Advocator (responsibilities attached)
* MOC Communicator (responsibilities attached)
* MOC Fundraiser (responsibilities attached)
* MOC Treasurer (responsibilities attached) - Find a reliable meeting place for MOC Management Team
- Once you have formed MOC Management Team and find a reliable place develop and submit plan of action in consultation with the entire. This includes your vision, goals, activities and opportunities. Besides developing plan of action you are requested to take following action promptly:
- Read carefully the institutional structure of MOC Network Pakistan (available at MOC Network Website)
- Attract and add at least 75 youth members or facilitate in establishing MOC Branch. This can be achieved through integrating MOC Network promotion in your ongoing activities. MOC Network International Membership forms are available at the web site (http://projects.takingitglobal.org/moc)
- Attract and add at least 10 Organizations (CBOs/NGOs) in MOC Network.
Responsibilities of MOC Managing Representative (leader) - To serve as a community connector between their local community and MOC Network
- To form MOC management team for the realization of MOC Programs
- To represent MOC Network CANADA at local events
- To share ideas and experiences for the enhancement and improvement of MOC Network CANADA activities
- To liaise with local formal and informal groups/CBOs/NGOs to share MOC vision and develop partnership
- To ensure the execution of all planned activities of MOC Network CANADA
- To keep MOC International Management informed of progress and important issues
- To write a Monthly Progress Report to the MOC International Office outlining what stage the MOC Management team is at, what achievements, problems and lessons have been learned.
- To be solely responsible for the accuracy of the information provided to the Office of CEO MOC Canada.
- The MOC Managing Representative and his or her team will not involve in violent or illegal action, or in any action against a person or group on the basis of age, gender, race, nationality, origin, religion, sexual orientation, or physical or mental ability.
- If any MOC Managing Representative found working against the goals of the MOC Network CANADA, the CEO will have the right to cease his or her membership in consultation with MOC Advisory Board Member.

Responsibilities of MOC Advocator
· Develop advocacy plan of MOC Network Locally.
· Establish contacts with various institutions for the promotion of the MOC Net work
· Conduct meetings and awareness raising sessions regarding MOC Network
· Explore various effective communication channels for the promotion of MOC Network
· Develop contracts with various advertising agencies for the promotion of MOC Network.
· Assist in developing promotional materials of MOC Network.
· Prepare and submit monthly reports to Youth Managing Representative for onwards transmission to Head Office of MOC International.
· Any other assignment given by the Youth Managing Representative.

Responsibilities of MOC Communicator - To be responsible for generating press coverage for local MOC Programmes and activities
- To attract and recruit volunteers for MOC Network,
- To seek to maximize coverage of all MOC activities.
- To generate interesting, well written articles on MOC Network activities
- To build beneficial relationships with targeted press, radio & TV journalists, and editors to maximize opportunities for MOC Network
- To manages and develops PR material for exhibitions, fairs and shows
- To work with the Community stakeholders for gaining support for MOC Network
- To Promote MOC Network capacity building and educational programmes
- To Identify profile building / networking opportunities and events within the communities
- To researches appropriate and establish linkages with programmes
- To hold interviews and sensitization sessions for celebrities and key stakeholders
- To publicizes the release of all MOC Network institutional or educational activities
- To assist in organizing MOC Network Local events
- To maintains press clippings files for all Programme areas
- Prepare and submit monthly reports to Youth Managing Representative for onwards transmission to the Head Office of MOC International.
- Any other assignment given by the Youth Managing Representative

Responsibilities of MOC Fundraiser - To identify potential sponsors and partners for the MOC Network Locally.
- To search for potential sponsors and link them to MOC projects and activities
- To design innovative activities for fund raising
- To liaise with various institutions for fundraising
- Prepare and submit monthly reports to Youth Managing Representative for onwards transmission to the Head Office of MOC International.
- Any other assignment given by the Youth Managing Representative

Responsibilities of MOC Treasurer
· Proper maintenance of Accounts of MOC Network Locally.
· Timely preparation of monthly trial balance and cash flow statements on monthly basis.
· Periodic analysis of control Accounts.
· Preparation of periodic financial reports and accounts submission to the Youth Managing Representative for onwards transmission to the Head Office of MOC International.
· Preparation of budget estimates.
· Any other duty assigned from time to time.
· Any other assignment given by the Youth Managing Representative.
